The Great New Zealand Pinot Noir Photo Competition
Our Great New Zealand Pinot Noir Photo Competition saw over 150 photos entered from around the country, and with only six months until the Pinot Noir NZ event it seemed a great time to announce the winners. All the photos are a great reflection of how much hard work & passion goes into making New Zealand Pinot Noir. At the end of the day though, there could be just one winner, and the honour goes to Schubert Wines in Martinborough. Judge Tim Atkin MW had this to say about the photo:
“I love the colours, shapes and sense of movement in this photo. The white of the clouds and the netting work well together, as do the boxes and the colour of the picker's hat. You get a real sense of what it's like to pick grapes in New Zealand and it makes you feel part of the team. An excellent shot.”

The runner up was Lawson Dry Hills in Marlborough with a photo entitled 'Foot View'. In Tim's words:
"An unusual, cellar hand's eye view of what it likes to shovel skins. A great sense of energy here and the colours just say "Pinot" to me".
The ten other finalists are below and special mention must go to Amisfield, in Central Otago, with no less than three photos in the final twelve!
